The Eternal Grudge
...25 Years after the Death of Uzumaki, Naruto...
The Earth Country and Fire Country never were very peaceful with one another. Many times they have crossed blades, each time the Leaf defeated the Earth. The most recent was over 75 years ago. Fought by some of the most powerful Shinobi known in Konoha. Now the very foundation of the world will begin to pull apart once again.
Deep in the Rock Country there lives a women. She has flowing pale yellow hair. Her eyes pools of clear blue. She has an hourglass figure, with a toned body. Wrapped around her forehead, a familiar head band, with the symbol of the Rock Village carved into it. She is one of the most powerful Shinobi in the Rock Village and perhaps one of the most influential. She stands at about 5'8" and has a thin figure.
She stepped out of her house for the night. She had business with the Tsuchikage, the leader of the Rock Village. As she walked through the dark streets, her hair swayed behind her. It was rather long, reaching down just past her mid back. It seemed inconvenient for a Shinobi.
It was not long before she reached the front of the Tsuchikage's office. The door just a few feet from her, as she took a step forward a familiar voice called out to her.
"Seitara." The voice said.
She did not to turn to see the figure, she merely stared at the door.
"Seitara... are you planning to bother the Tsuchikage again? You know he won't condone what you want done. It would be foolish." the voice said.
She turned towards the voice, shaking her head. Obviously it was of no concern to her, whether the Tsuchikage would go through with the idea or not.
"Then... I will kill him." Seitara said solemnly.
"WHAT?! You... can't do that!" The voice said, obviously taken back by her cool demeanor.
"Watch me." Seitara said, now stepping through the door and into the office of the Tsuchikage.
The man rushed to the door, determined to stop her, but before he could get inside, the door became sealed shut.
Seitara stepped forward, coming just feet from the desk of the Tsuchikage. The office was dark, no lights were turned on, but the Tsuchikage was obviously there, breathing, watching her, curious.
"Sir. I implore you, consider invading the Leaf. Surely the Cloud Village would assist us." Seitara said, still in her cool demeanor.
The Tsuchikage merely looked her, his eyes studying her curiously. He was hidden by the shadows of the night.
"Seitara, i've told you before. This is insanity, just because of some silly grudge you have against the Uchiha does not mean we can just invade a Country." he said.
Suddenly her voice rose, as if something the man had said sparked something in her.
"Silly!? Is that all I am to you people, just some insane woman with a silly grudge!?" Seitara seemed outraged.
"The Village of the Rock greatly appreciates you, Seitara. You are a very strong Shinobi. You usually make great decisions and you've strongly influenced the village making it much better than it ever has been. But lately it seems like you're more and more deluded by revenge. You have to let the past go..." Tsuchikage said. He honestly sounded concerned.
Seitara could not take this, her whole life she had been raised knowing that the Leaf were wrong, they were evil. They had to be punished. They were the reason for her pain, her scars. She had to annihilate them. She spent her whole life training, getting stronger. Helping to build the Rock Village in hopes that it would stand behind her in her decisions.
She could not handle the rejection, her whole life she worked for this very moment, and all she heard now was, a silly grudge.
"Then... you leave me with no choice." Seitara said, her rage apparently.
Tsuchikage nodded, and stood up, walking around to the front of his desk.
The two stood in the dark, facing off. Staring into each other's eyes. It was inevitable, the Tsuchikage knew this. It was either kill or be killed.
The two rushed at one another, she was dangerous, he knew this and he might not survive. He knew that if that were the case the Rock Village would fall into an era of chaos and war. He could not let that happen. As he closed the distance between him and her, he put his hands together, creating a simple seal.
"Doryuu Taiga!" he cried out, suddenly a river of mud flowed out from in front of him, rushing forward to push Seitara back.
She obviously wasn't expecting this, being pulled into the mud and pushed back, hitting the adjacent wall with force. Following it up, the Tsuchikage tossed a shuriken at her, creating another hand seal. The shuriken began to multiply. Many shurikens appeared out from the original, all flying towards her.
"Kage Shuriken no Jutsu!" Tsuchikage had said.
The barrage of shuriken struck Seitara, pinning her against the wall, blood running down her lip. So many shuriken had struck her, blood running down from her arm to her wrist and from her knees to her ankles.
"This pain... is nothing." Seitara said, lifting her head to look into the Tsuchikage's eyes, before spitting blood at him.
The blood struck his cheek, but he did not show the disgust that filled his heart. He merely shook his head, taking another step forward.
"I will relieve you of your insanity." he said, starting to make another seal with his hands.
At this point, Seitara merely smirked, her head dropped, shadows covering the expression her eyes screamed out.
"...Boom..." Seitara said in a whisper.
At once the Tsuchikage's head exploded outward, blood and brain splattered on the walls and dropped to the floor. The point of explosion obviously occurred at the neck. There were burns that were climbing down from the Tsuchikage's trachea.
Seitara suddenly began to melt away, her body dripping to the ground. All that remained was a pool of mud. Then a figure stepped out of the shadows from beside the Tsuchikage's desk. Seitara smirked, looking down at the dead Tsuchikage and the pool of mud. A deadly combination, she hadn't trained her whole life for nothing.
She was now in control, soon the Rock Village would begin its invasion.
Seitara opened the door with ease, as if it were never sealed. She stepped into the light, raising her right hand, revealing a silver ring with a red stone embedded in it on her index finger. On the stone was the kanji, Sei. She brushed her bangs from her face. Looking at the man who had tried to stop her. She didn't need to say anything, he already knew, the Tsuchikage was dead.
Preparations: One Week Left!
…Two Weeks Later…
It wasn’t long before Seitara had taken control of the entire Rock Village. After disposing of the Tsuchikage no one could really stand in her way. Everyone had known she was powerful, but no one could have guessed she was this powerful. Her technique remained a mystery, as a result, everyone feared to defy her.
As soon as she rose to the Tsuchikage rank she made preparations for war. All Shinobi, regardless of rank, began an intense training regime. At the same time she began to contact other nations who had a mutual dislike for the Leaf Village. Everything seemed to be coming along quite nicely.
Seitara stood at the top of the administrative building, looking down upon her grand village. This is how it should have been from the beginning, she thought to herself. She pretty much built the Rock to what it is now anyway. Without her, the Rock would still be struggling. She smirked, looking down upon the small figures, moving around; everyone seemed to be hustling lately. Perhaps it was because she had ordered the attack on the Leaf in such a short notice. It would be a surprise attack so they could take their time. However, every second the Leaf stood only enraged Seitara more. Plus she realized there would be many people willing to defy her, so the sooner the better.
Seitara turned her back to the view, and began to move down from the roof, heading into her office. From here she walked out into the halls and left the administrative building, heading into the streets of the Rock Village.
Many people noticed her, greeting her with a shallow kindness. She knew that everyone had respected and loved her, but after what she had done, many people had believed she went too far. She did not care, it was for her goals. Her goals meant far more to her than this petty village.
The sun was shining brightly. It shined down onto the village. To her, this was a symbol of hope and good fortune. She believed that her goals will be reached after all. The Uchiha will crumble along with the entire Leaf. She had never really thought of what to do after that. All she knew is that soon there would only be Four Great Shinobi Nations.
She was heading to the Head of Research and Technology building. She had been expecting some additional advances and had hoped they were coming along smoothly. They were vital to the assault on the Leaf. They would be the only country with this type of power. Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and even Taijutsu would have not be able to halt what she had in mind.
As she reached the district with the Technology building in sight, she noticed a group of women talking amongst themselves. Seitara did not consider herself paranoid, but being a woman she couldn’t resist the gossip of other women. As she walked by she took a moment to listen in on their conversation.
“Yes… and some say that she has gone mad. The Rock Village will crumble they say.” The blonde had said.
“That’s not all. There is even speak that the Tsuchikage was actually murdered, not just died of disease.” Another woman said.
Seitara immediately knew that they were talking about her, which she thought as gutsy, talking about her with her walking right past them. Perhaps the girls did not notice her, or perhaps they just did not care. Whatever the reason, they went on talking about there new leader: Seitara.
Seitara ignored their comments. She didn’t necessaryily need them alive for anything, but she was busy at the moment. Perhaps on her way back, she would kill them.
She was closing in on the Technology Building rapidly. As she came to the door something caught her attention. A figured in a dark hood walked up to her. They were completely enshrouded by a pitch black cloak. A silver chain came around, down from the neck. The figure extended their arm out, revealing a package. It was in a brown paper held together by string. The figure nodded and spoke slowly.
“This is what you desired from them. This shall help you destroy the Leaf. Do not fail us. You now what will happen if you fail.” The figure relinquished the package to Seitara and then merely turned their back to her, walking away without another word.
Seitara grimaced. These methods she was using were a bit dark, but it was for her ultimate goal. The package she held should increase the success rate of her goals by several fold. She began to laugh.
“Fail? Never in a thousand years.” She said softly to herself.
She then opened the door to the technology building, stepping inside and closing the door behind her.
Unknown to her someone saw the transaction between her and the figure. Someone who was willing to help the Leaf, they immediately began their travels. They headed straight for the Leaf Village.
While in the Technology Building Seitara had made her way to the main lab, where several scientists were working to develop new types of weapons and armors.
“How far along are you?” She asked, looking around at the various men and women working to please her.
“We are nearly completely. Testing will begin this afternoon.” The head scientist said, sounding pleased.
Seitara chuckled, now walking down the various aisles and rows, looking at the equipment being forged. There were various kunai and shuriken, each with unique shapes and sizes. She was pleased. She then moved onto chemical weapons.
“We worked on making the release and spread of the toxic in a poison bomb much faster, as well as making new, more potent toxins.” The head scientist added.
Seitara nodded, now moving on to the armor section. They had made all sorts of armor. From light to heavy, small to large. The different materials were limitless for the Rock Village. The Earth Country had the best materials for forging weapons and armor. These would be the top line. Seitara only hoped that they would be ready within’ the week. She would have liked to of attacked the Leaf by now.
“I will come back tomorrow to see the results of the tests.” Seitara said directly to the head scientist.
She then turned her back to them and walked away. She headed for the exit of the building, opening the door and walking out into the streets, closing the door behind her. When she came outside a line had formed at the door. Various Shinobi of all ranks were standing there, looking at her.
“You must all be the ones who are testing this new equipment.” Seitara said, her voice booming.
One of the Shinobi spoke before anyone else could.
“Yes ma’am!”
Seitara smiled, looking at him.
”Good, keep that enthusiasm. The assault will begin soon; prepare yourselves as best as you can.” Seitara said.
With that she walked away from the building, heading towards the Shinobi Academy and Training Grounds.
It was nearly noon now. The sun was high in the sky raining down on the Rock Village. It was a nice rain of light. It wasn’t as hot as it was in other nations. The Rock Village was lucky to be in the north, where it was cooler than in other nations. Seitara enjoyed that. She never did like to be hot. She felt it was a pain and caused her to take unnecessary procedures.
It was not long before Seitara reached the Academy. Today many students were outside doing physical training. Seitara stopped at the various sections looking over their skills. How well they tossed the shuriken, how much stamina and chakra control they had. She desired them all to be elite for their age.
She wasn’t too impressed with the students; they were not the ones she wanted to see. She merely stopped by for the sake of appearance. She headed now for the Training Grounds. She wanted to see if her elites were continuing to push themselves. She needed an army of top Shinobi if they were to overcome the Leaf.
As she walked into the Training Grounds she found several Shinobi doing all sorts of training. As well as various Shinobi sparring each other. She was pleased to see this. As it became clear that Seitara was watching, many Shinobi began to step up their training. Pushing themselves even harder than they had been just before she arrived. This is what Seitara wanted to see. Shinobi who trained to stay alive, they had no room for those who were afraid of death in her army.
…Meanwhile in the Leaf Village…
The runner from the Rock Village had stumbled into Konoha. He asks for directions to the Hokage’s office. Before long he is standing before the Hokage. He is nervous and obviously afraid of what may become of him for what he is about to do.
The Hokage speaks first.
“So, why have you come to see me?” The Hokage asked. He remained in his chair, looking at the boy over his desk.
The runner was rather young. Just an adolescent, but he seemed so experienced. It was not uncommon for some teenagers to be just as powerful or even more powerful than some of the older Shinobi.
“I come from the Rock Village, from the Earth Country. Our leader, the Tsuchikage, was recently assassinated. The new Tsuchikage claims it was not her, but everyone knows she killed him so that she could rise to power. She is using the position to instigate a war with the Leaf. I came to warn you before it’s too late. She has all sorts of new technology in the works and an army that is building up.” The boy stammered, finally finishing.
The Hokage looked at the boy, he didn’t appear to be lying, but one could never be too careful.
“These are very serious accusations. You understand that?” The Hokage said.
“Yes! I know that I will be held accountable for. I cannot return to my village, I’m a traitor now.” The boy said.
The Hokage nodded.
“We will look into this information, for now you may stay in this building. You will be safe.” The Hokage promised.
The Leaf and The Mist!
Uchiha Kisho, Haku Shiori, and Ranmaru Hiro leave to the Rock Village to confirm this information. They are confronted with initial Rock Shinobi resistance, including the Jounin: Garnet.
They later find the Rock Village and infiltrate it. They go into a local bar and confirm the plan to crush the Uchiha.
