With so many different techniques it's hard to choose just a few. Successful Shinobi don't need an unlimited number of techniques, just a set of reliable and unique techniques. So long as they can keep their opponent guessing they can keep the advantage.
As far as how many jutsu one can learn at a time, or one can have at a time, there is no limit. Whenever you desire to add a new jutsu, merely notify an administrator so they can add it to this page and to your character sheet. Also at any time you may take any jutsu that is available to your Rank from this page and add it to your own arsenal.

Ninjutsu
Ninjutsu is the most common form of jutsus used. They can have a string of complex seals to summon up devastating attacks, or merely a single seal to change the shape or position of the user. Ninjutsu is very versatile.

Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone)
This is a basic technique that everyone knows. The user can create a clone of themselves that resembles them perfectly. It's best used for distractions, once it gets touched it dispels.
Henge no Jutsu (Transformation)
This is a basic technique that everyone knows. The user can transform themselves into any person or object.
Kawarimi no Jutsu (Change of Body Stance)
This is a basic technique that everyone knows. The user changes position with a different object or even a different person.

Kanashibari no Jutsu (Temporary Body Paralysis)
This is a technique utilized by ANBU to freeze their targets when pursuing them or during combat to finish them off easily. It freezes the targeted body, making it unable to move for a short amount of time.
Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker)
This is a technique that allows a Shinobi to disappear and appear in an instant. Nearby elements such as leaves or mist may mask their appearance and disappearance.
Kai (Release)
This is a technique to break Genjutsu. The user creates a simple hand seal and closes their eyes, breaking the Genjutsu. It can also be used on other Shinobi.
Chakra Kyuuin Jutsu (Chakra Absorption)
The user draws in an opponents chakra. The users hand will glow with chakra and once they touch any part of their opponents skin the chakra will flow from their opponent into the user.
Chakra no Mesu (Chakra Scalpel)
A specialized technique utilized by Medical Ninja. After the correct hand seals are made chakra is formed in the users hands, the Scalpel remains until the user dispels it. The user can then extend their chakra out through their hands, cutting internal organs or muscles. The technique isn't very powerful and won't deliver a one hit kill.
Suiton: Mizu no Muchi (Whip of Water)
The user manipulates water and turns it into a whip.
Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist)
A technique that fogs the entire area. It lowers visibility allowing a Shinobi to sneak around easier.

Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Grand Fireball)
With a string of hand seals chakra is built up in the stomach and push up through the throat and spit out of the mouth creating a large ball of flame which explodes outwards. (Katon)
Katon: Housenka no Jutsu (Mythical Fire Phoenix)
Necessary hand seals are made and a barrage of fire balls are shot out from the users mouth. Additionally tools such as shuriken can be thrown, engulfed in the flames, at the target. (Katon)
Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Clone)
This technique creates a clone much like a regular Bunshin no Jutsu, however the clone has an actual substance, water. Since it has a physical form it can interact more with the environment around it. If it gets too far away from the body of the user or takes damage it will dispel back into water.
Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Spiritualism Technique)
The summoning technique. This is the necessary technique required to bring forth animals, tools, or even the dead to fight on the users behave. The user bites the hand they made the contract with, and then makes the hand seals and places their hand on the ground, completing the summoning and bringing forth their support.
Lower Level Summon
A Lower Level Summon will involve summoning a youngling or smaller form of the specific animal, such as a tadpole, frog or even a dog.
Mid Level Summon
A Mid Level Summon will involve summoning a slightly larger form of the regular animal. Or perhaps a unique form, such as a three-head snake, or a battle toad.
High Level Summon
A High Level Summon will involve summoning a giant form of the regular animal. This is usually the desired summon or the boss of the entire family of animal that the Shinobi can summon.
Suiton: Suirou no Jutsu (Water Prison)
With a string of seals the user utilizes Suiton. The user forms a sphere of water around the target, limiting their movement by trapping them. The user must keep a piece of their body in the sphere to maintain it. Those stuck in the water are basically under water, unless they can breath under water, they are forced to hold their breath.
Fuuton: Daitoppa (Great Breakthrough)
Utilizing the Wind Element the user breaths out, releasing their chakra and causing hurricane level winds to cut through the area, pushing everything out of its path.
Doton: Doryuu Taiga (Earth Flow River)
Utilizing the Earth Element, the user will do a string of hand seals and summon forth a pit of mud, which will rush forward, pushing the target along with it.
Suiton: Mizukuri no Yaiba (Sword of Draining)
The user creates a sword out of water. The user can cut or stab just like they could with a regular sword.
Raiton: Raikyuu (Lightning Ball)
Utilizing the Lightning Element, the user can create a ball of electrically charged chakra which can be throw or pushed into a target, causing damage.
Healing Arts
Simple technique utilized by medical shinobi. They use their chakra to restore wounds. With this particular technique they can heal only limited injuries. Anything from broken bones to deep cuts at the most. Medical Shinobi only.
Restoration
A simple technique utilized by medical shinobi. They use their chakra to restore status conditions. Such as paralysis, poison, burn wounds, and frostbite. Wounds of that nature. Medical Shinobi only.
B Rank
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone)
Much more advanced than Bunshin no Jutsu. This technique evenly distributes chakra throughout the whole clone giving it a physical substance. The clone can do any technique that the original user can do. It will disperse when it takes moderate damage. Additionally once it disperses any knowledge that it had will be returned to the user.
Mokuton: Moku Bunshin no Jutsu (Wood Clone)
Much like the Bunshin no Jutsu technique but instead the clone is made out of wood. The clone has a hard physical substance and can carry out full attacks and utilize the same techniques that the user could. When it takes heavy damage it will turn back into wood. (Mokuton)
Suna Bunshin no Jutsu (Sand Clone)
Much like the Bunshin no Jutsu technique but instead the clone is made out of sand. The clone can shift around and because of the substance it's made out of can absorb and counter attacks, wrapping around a fist or tool that may come at it. When it takes heavy damage it will turn back into sand.
Suiton: Suiryuudan no Jutsu (Water Dragon Projectile)
After a string of hand seals the user utilizes Suiton to form a dragon from water. The dragon rises up and rushes towards the opponent.
Suiton: Suigadan (Water Fang Projectile)
Utilizing Suiton, the user does a string of hand seals. Water shoots up, spinning around like a drill, striking a target.
Doton: Dorou Doumu (Earth Dome Prison)
Utilizing the Earth Element, the user will strike the ground with their hands and over turn the earth to wrap around their opponents, closing them in on all sides. The user can maintain the dome by placing their hands directly against it and distributing their chakra throughout. Any damages the dome will receive will then be regenerated rapidly, additionally the dome will drain the chakra from those who are captured inside of it, feeding it back to the user.
Fuuton: Mugen Sajin Daitoppa (Infinite Dust Great Breakthrough)
Utilizing the Wind Element, the user inhales a great amount of air, and then it exhausts it all. Spewing out a fierce blast of wind that can push back opponents or even other techniques.
Hyouton: Makyou Hyoushou (Demonic Ice Crystal Mirrors)
The user utilizes both Water and Wind Elements creating the Ice Element. Water forms flat mirrors which freeze over and surround a target 360 degrees all around them. The user then places themselves in the mirror, using the reflections of themselves to confuse and attack their target.
Hyouton: Sensatsu Suishou (Death by a Thousand Flying Water Needles)
The user utilizes both Water and Wind Elements creating the Ice Element. Only one hand is needed to create the seals for this technique. The user kicks the water, drops of water rise up, form into frozen needles and fly in from all directions, skewering the opponent.
Baku Suishouha (Bursting Water Collission Waves)
The user utilizes the water element, they do a string of hand seals. They spew out a large amount of water from their mouth, changing the environment completely n their favor.
Suiton: Suikoudan no Jutsu (Water Shark Projectile)
The user utilizes the Water Element. After a string of seals a column of water that is shaped like a sharp, rises up to strike the opponent.
Katon: Haisekishou (Burning Ash Accumulation)
Utilizing the Fire Element, a user will string together hand seals and spew ash out at a target. The ash can ignite into flame upon the users will.
Essence of Life
A more advanced type of healing. This technique is utilized by medical shinobi. They use greater amounts of chakra and apply their other abilities. It allows them to heal more advanced wounds. This ability ranges from being able to stop the bleeding of severed limbs and awake shinobi from an unconscious state. Medical Shinobi only.
A Rank
Rasengan (Spiral Sphere)
A powerful concentration of chakra that is held in the hand and slammed against an opponent. It requires no hand seals and merely relies on the user to meld together chakra rapidly in the palm of their hand. When its fully mastered, Rasengan will be a dense ball of spinning chakra, much like a tiny typhoon in the palm of the users hand. This jutsu remains an incomplete technique.
Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu (Grand Waterfall)
Utilizing the Suiton Element, the user will string together seals creating a column of water in front of them. It will then rush forward, engulfing the target with great pressure.
Suiton: Hahonryuu (Destruction Current)
Utilizing Suiton, the user creates a giant wave of water. It is best used in conjection with Wind Rasengan.
Fuuton: Rasengan (Wind Release Spiral Sphere)
Utilizing the Wind Element, Rasengan can be altered. The technique becomes more destructive and looks much sharper.
Fuuton: Kaze no Yaiba (Sword of Wind)
A technique utilizing the Wind Element. The user creates a string of hand seals. Then a pillar of wind current rises up from the hand of the user, this technique remains active until the user dispels it. The wind is ever shifting and can cut through anything, unlike a normal sword.
Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shuriken Shadow Clone)
This is a technique that utilizes Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and a simple Shuriken. The Shuriken is tossed and then using the seals for Kage Bunshin, the user targets the Shuriken, creating several real copies and causing the single Shuriken to become a barrage.
Bunshin Bakuha (Shadow Clone Explosion)
A technique utilizing the Kage Bunshin technique. The user disrupts the Kage Bunshin with their chakra causing an explosion, hurting those around the clone. It is unknown as to whether any additional skills such as Katon or the Sharingan are used to perform this technique.
Fuuton: Atsugai (Pressure Damage)
Utilizing the wind element, a Shinobi can release a large blast of wind. The wind has a heavy pressure which can crush almost any target. It also has a large area of affect.
Katon: Zukokku (Head Mincing Pain)
Utilizing the fire element, a Shinobi can release a large wave of flame. The flame will hit the ground and spread very rapidly, closing in a target in seconds. The flame can burn through almost anything.
Sacred Healing
The most advanced type of healing. This technique is utilized by medical shinobi. They use greater amounts of chakra and apply their other abilities and skills. It allows them to heal even more advanced wounds. This ability ranges from being able heal internal damages and even restore minor nerve damages. Medical Shinobi only.
Sacred Restoration
A more advanced technique utilized by medical shinobi. They use their chakra to restore more lethal status conditions. Such as numbness throughout the body and loss of feeling, intense poisons, various rashes and burns, as well as being able to remove some scars. Medical Shinobi only.

Amaterasu (Goddess of the Sun)
A technique that can only be done by use of the Mangekyou Sharingan. The Mangekyou creates a mysterious black flame that can cut through almost anything. The flame is said to burn for 7 days and 7 nights.
Raiton: Raikiri (Lightning Edge)
A powerful thrust of chakra that is best used for assassinations. The user concentrates the chakra through their arm and into their hand. They then run towards their target, gaining momentum and thrust their arm forward, stabbing the chakra through the target. The chakra can further be manipulate to increase the range or power of the thrust. Due to the nature of this technique and the excessive speed necessary it is incomplete without the support of the Sharingan.
Suiton/Fuuton: Gufuu Suika no Jutsu (Typhoon Water Vortex)
A combination technique that is created by utilizing both Wind and Water elements. It creates a swirling typhoon that can easily reply Wind or Fire techniques as well as cause devestation.
Raiton: Chidori Nagashi (Thousand Birds Current)
Utilizing the Raiton technique, Raikiri, the user can further manipulate Raikiri. Instead of focusing it merely on the hand, the user can channel it throughout their whole body. Creating a protective barrier. It can also be extended out into other targets through objects or by touch sending electrical charges and numbing targets.
Raiton: Raikiri no Yaiba (Lightning Edge Sword)
Using Raikiri, the user can manipulate it into a sword. The user can also manipulate the length of the blade. The sword can cut through anything.
Raiton: Raikiri no Senbon (Lightning Edge Senbon)
Using Raikiri, the user can manipulate it into a smaller needle. Not as powerful as the full stab, the needle can be tossed from a distance and can cut through anything.
Raiton/Fuuton: Rairyuu no Tatsumaki (Lightning Dragon Tornado)
Utilizing the Lightning Element and Wind Element, the user blends the two techniques to create a tornado that is shaped like a dragon. The wind carries an electric current. Even if the dragon doesn't directly hit its target, lightning can jump out from it.
Katon/Fuuton: Zukokku-Atsugai Combination
A technique utilizing the fire and wind element. The user combines Zukokku and Atsugai. The two elements combine while being formed and then shoot outward in front of the Shinobi. The aspects of both attacks are mixed into one. The flame becomes much more intense and more devastating using the air to gain speed and momentum. The flames erupt around targets as it comes in contact. Unlike Zukokku, this combination allows the flames to spread through the air. A water technique alone will not block the whole attack.
Tendril Sewing Thread
A technique utilized by Medical Shinobi. They can create a Tendril Thread with their chakra. This will allow them to sew body parts back together. Medical Shinobi Only.
Taijutsu
Many different styles and techniques revolve around the body, Taijutsu is the simplest of these as it doesn't require any seals or real manipulation. Taijutsu is a collection of punches and kicks.

Often referred to as, "Leaf's Ancient Supreme Technique", the user forms the seal of the tiger in their hands and jabs their fingers into the pubic bone or in that general area, thus sending the target flying into the sky

Konoha Senpuu (Leaf Whirlwind)
The user charges towards their opponent and using a powerful flying round house kick to strike their opponent.
Konoha Reppuu (Leaf Violent Wind)
Using speed and agility, the user gets low to the ground and sweeps their opponents feet from under them.

Hakke Kuushou (Eight Divination Signs Air Palm)
A ranged Taijutsu technique. Chakra is extended out from the body through the hands. The user thrusts their palm forward sending an invisible wave of chakra at their target.
Hakkeshou Kaiten (Eight Divination Palms of the Hand, Heavenly Spin)
The user releases their chakra creating a wall around them, blocking an initial attack and then begin to spin rapidly like a top, digging into the ground beneath them and repelling all other attacks, pushing everything outwards, away from the users body.
Konoha Dai Senpuu (Leaf Great Whirlwind)
The user charges their opponent, they strike their opponent with multiple spinning round house kicks.
Konoha Kage Buyou (Leaf Shadow Dance)
A Taijutsu technique that puts a target into a vulnerable aerial position. The user attacks from beneath, kicking the opponent into the air and then follows them up, becoming their shadow by sticking behind them.
Shishi Rendan (Lion Combo)
A technique that is used in succession with Konoha Kage Buyou, the user strikes a vulnerable area while shadowing their opponent and then begins to pummel them into the ground, as they reach the ground the user rotates their body and swings their leg down into their target.

Gouwan (Strong Arm)
Gouwan is a technique that focuses chakra into a specific point of the body, most commonly the arm or fist. Thus enhancing the destructive power of a regular punch.
Hakke Rokujuuyonshou (Eight Divination Signs, Sixty-Four Palms of the Hand)
A powerful Taijutsu technique that allows the user to chip away at both Stamina and Chakra. When the opponent gets within' the divination field of the user, they can quickly attack. They strike a total of 126 times. First 2, then 4, then 8, then 16, then 32, and finally 64. The technique forces shut 64 tenketsu (chakra points).
Konoha Shoufuu (Leaf Rising Wind)
A swift upward kick that is meant to strike the facial region or knock away a weapon or item.
Konoha Raiken (Leaf Thunder Fist)
The user spins to gain momentum and pushes their arm off the momentum adding force to their punch.
Hakke Hasangeki (Mountain Crusher)
An improved ranged Taijutsu technique. Chakra is extended out from the body through the hands. The user thrusts their palm forward sending an invisible wave of chakra at their target. This technique is similar to Hakke Kuushou (Eight Divination Signs Air Palm) but is a focus of white light and is three times more powerful.

Hakke Hyakunijuuhachishou (Eight Divination Signs, One-Hundred and Twenty-Eight Palms of the Hand)
A powerful Taijutsu technique that allows the user to chip away at both Stamina and Chakra. When the opponent gets within' the divination field of the user, they can quickly attack. They strike a total of 254 times, nearly double the original. First 2, then 4, then 8, then 16, then 32, then 64, and finally 128. The technique forces shut 128 tenketsu (chakra points).

Asakujaku (Morning Peacock)
A powerful Taijutsu technique that is utilized by opening up six of the eight celestial gates. With this much chakra, power, and speed the user can close in on their target. Kicking them initially the user will then attack multiple times with a tremendous amount of force. Ultimately the target falls to the earth covered in the aura of the attack.
Genjutsu
Genjutsu is unique, it focuses on manipulating the mind. Usually more devastating than a regular attack. The damage that can be done to the mind is often much worse than damage to the body.

Narakumi no Jutsu (Hell Viewing)
Narakumi no Jutsu causes the one affected to see false images of pain and suffering. Usually causing someone to see someone close or dear to them dying or gruesomely killed, when truly it is but an illusion.

Kokohi no Jutsu (False Place)
Simple technique that changes the appearance of a nearby object.
Kori Shinchuu no Jutsu (Sly Mind Affect)
Technique which is used to cause an opponent to move around in circles. Mimicking the surroundings and causing the opponent to think their advancing when their traveling the same path over and over.
B Rank
Jubaku Satsu (Tree Binding Death)
The user disappears and approaches their target. A large tree will grow at the feet of the target, binding them in place. Once the opponent believes they are immobile the user emerges from the tree and can attack the opponent.
Mugen Onsa (Illusion Tune Chains)
Utilized by Sound Shinobi. Must have a Flute to use this technique. The user plays a demonic melody to cast Genjutsu onto their opponent. The opponent will believe they are chained down and cannot move. Additionally they will watch as their skin melts away from their bones.
Shikumi no Jutsu (Death Viewing)
A technique that stuns the target and causes them to see an intense image of their own brutal killing. It is meant to cause a physical shock in the body causing the target to completely be unable to react or move.

Nehan Shouja no Jutsu (Temple of Nirvana)
This is a technique that allows the user to put a large amount of people into an unconscious state. White feathers flutter down and those who are trapped by the illusion pass out.
Demonic Illusion: Hellfire
A Genjutsu that causes a target to believe they are atop of a giant stone pillar. Around them is nothing but darkness. Below them is a bottomless pit. Several shuriken engulfed in an intense blue flame close in from all directions, striking the target. The user then detonates, exploding in a giant blue flame. (Uchiha, Kisho)
Demonic Illusion: Infinite Slashing Whorl
A Genjutsu that causes a target to believe they are trapped in a tornado being torn to shreds. The air around their feet picks up, and then a tornado forms around them, spinning them uncontrollably, shuriken spiral through the tornado, slashing away at the target piece by piece. Eventually the pressure from the tornado becomes so great that the target's limbs are torn from the very sockets. (Uchiha, Kisho)

Magen: Kyouten Chiten (Demonic Illusion: Mirror Heaven and Earth Change)
Utilizing the Sharingan, the user of this technique copies a Genjutsu being casted on them and reverses it, casting it back onto the original caster.
Fuuinjutsu
Fuuinjutsu is a method of sealing. Sealing can come in handy for a ninja. Being able to trap the essence of something into something else, usually a scroll. However sealing can also trap curses or spirits into things as well.

Fuuka Houin (Fire Sealing Method)
This is a technique that is used to seal flames into a scroll. The user places the seals on the scroll and along with the hand seals forces the flame into the scroll.

Fuuja Houin (Evil Sealing Method)
This is a seal that is used to counter-act the Cursed Seal. The target is placed at a point. Seals are written all around them in a circle. The user then places their hand on the mark and the seals run up the body and surround the mark, causing momentary pain. The seal will work best if the one with the mark believes in their own power.
Juin Jutsu (Cursed Seal)
This technique is used to transfer a seal onto another person. It is practice by the Hyuuga Clan, putting a seal on the Branch Family to keep them in line. It also the basis for the Cursed Mark that is used by Orochimaru and his followers.

Hakke no Fuuin Shiki (Eight Divination Signs Seal)
The Hakke no Fuuin Shiki is a famous seal that was used in conjunction with Shishou Fuuin. The Fourth Hokage used these two seals to pin Kyuubi into Uzumaki Naruto.
Shishou Fuuin (Four Image Seal)
The Shishou Fuuin is a famous seal that was used in conjunction with Hakke no Fuuin Shiki. The Fourth Hokage used these two seals to pin Kyuubi into Uzumaki Naruto.
Doujutsu
Doujutsu is a unique type of technique. It is a technique that can only be passed through genetics and completely revolves around the eye, thus the techniques require no hand seals.
Sharingan (Copying Wheel Eye)
The Sharingan is a powerful Doujutsu that is passed through the Uchiha clan. When activated the normal Uchiha eye becomes red, the pupil is black with one, two, or three tomoe around it. The Sharingan can cast Genjutsu and break all forms of jutsus, copying and manipulating them. The Sharingan comes in numerous stages and is usually attainable through intense training or during times of desperation in combat.
One Tomoe
Allows the user to track the movement of an opponent and tell the difference between clones and actual Shinobi.
Two Tomoe
Allows the user to track the movement of an opponent and slightly mimic their movements. As well as see the chakra flow of organic targets.
Three Tomoe
Allows the user to track the movement of an opponent, mimic their movements completely, see the chakra flow of objects, see an opponents movements before they happen, cast Genjutsu by looking into an opponent's eyes and break Genjutsu casted on them.
Mangekyou Sharingan (Kaleidoscope Copying Wheel Eye)
The Legendary Doujutsu: Mangekyou Sharingan only appears in a very limited number of Uchiha. To obtain this Doujutsu one must kill their best friend. Having the Mangekyou Sharingan merely lets an Uchiha cast Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi.
Tsukuyomi (God of the Moon)
An Illusionary Doujutsu technique that can only be done by the Mangekyou Sharingan. The user casts the Genjutsu on the opponent and traps them in their own mind. Space and time are controlled by the user and they can preform any sort of "hellish torture" they desire. The technique only lasts a few seconds, but is said to drag on in the opponents mind for what feels like days.
Byakugan (White Eye)
Byakugan is the original Doujutsu from which Sharingan was said to branch off from. When activated the Hyuuga Eye gets more detailed and veins pop out from the sides of the eye. Only the Hyuuga may use this Doujutsu, when active Byakugan gives the user extra-sensory perception, allowing them to see an opponents chakra points and their internal systems, allows them to nearly see 360 degrees all around them.
Ranmaru's Eye
The Ranmaru Eye gives more inner perception than the Byakugan, allowing them to see through solid objects, see the life force of a target, and allow them to see perfectly during night. It also allows them to create illusions and see partial movement of an opponent before it happens. Ultimately it can disrupt the Byakugan from being able to see through anything.
Kinjutsu
Kinjutsu are forbidden techniques. All Kinjutsu techniques can only be obtained by writing a story about how they were gained/learned, the story must be at least -- words.

Omote Renge (Front Lotus)
A forbidden technique due to the strain that it puts on the body. The Initial Gate must be opened, increasing both speed and power. The user appears under their foe and kicks them up into the air, then they leap up after them, and wrapped them up, either with their arms or a cloth of some sort. The user than rotates themselves and the target as they drop down towards the ground. The two come down like a drill. The speed from the rotation only adds to the pain from the impact.

Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Multiple Shadow Clone)
The exact same as Kage Bunshin no Jutsu but instead of multiple copies being made, a thousand copies are made all at once. It was forbidden due to the excessive chakra required to preform it.
Ura Renge (Reverse Lotus)
A forbidden technique due to the strain it puts on the body. In order to initiate Ura Renge the first three Celestial Gates must be opened. The users chakra explodes and their skin color turns red. Much like Omote Renge, Ura Renge is an upward kick, knocking the foe into the air. However it then becomes a barrage of rapid, physical strikes with much more speed and power than Omote Renges single strike.

Edo Tensei (Resurrection to the Impure World)
Edo Tensei is a technique which takes two empty bodies (dead bodies) and uses chakra to bring back the souls or consciouses of those who are dead, sealing them into the empty body.
Shiki Fuujin (Corpse Spirit Sealing)
Shiki Fuujin is the ultimate sacrificial jutsu. The user calls upon a Shinigami (Death God) and in exchange for their own soul has the Shinigami take the soul of another target as well. The technique can be used by a clone, but the one who casted the technique will lose their soul anyway.
Demonic Illusion: Black Vortex
A powerful Genjutsu. It causes the target to think they are being engulfed by a whirling, black vortex. The ground beneath the target shifts and changes, sinking into a vortex. The target gets drawn in. As they sink further into the vortex their chakra and life force is drained from their body. As they sink further they begin to lose past memories and pain fills the body. The longer they are trapped in the vortex, the more pain the illusion induces and the more is lost. Once they are completely engulfed by the vortex it crushes them slowly, causing the target to believe they are killed. The technique can completely destroy the mind, leaving a target in a vegetative state that they may never recover from. However, it also takes a huge toll on the user. It consumes excessive chakra and can leave the user significantly weakened for a prolonged period. (Uchiha, Kisho)
