Fire Country
The Fire Country is third largest of the Five Great Shinobi Countries. It is a place of relative peace as many have died for it's sake. The Fire Country is filled with plains and forests. Many other villages see the Fire Country as a weak target because of not only it's peace but because it is surrounded on all sides. Even so many strong ninja reside in Konoha: The Village Hidden in the Leaf. The Fire Country is not to be taken likely. It currently has no allies.
Earth Country
The Earth Country is the second largest of The Five Great Shinobi Countries. The Earth Country is a mountainous area with a rocky terrain. Many rough Shinobi emerge from The Hidden Rock Village. It currently has no allies.
Water Country
The Water Country is the smallest of The Five Great Shinobi Countries. However it also seems to be the most lethal. The Village Hidden in the Mist has a lethal tradition pitting academy students against one another for the final test to becoming a Genin. Since the country is so violent and ruthless there is much poverty and Shinobi are usually killed by the very people of the country. It currently has no allies.
Lightning Country
The Lightning Country is the fourth largest country of The Five Great Shinobi Countries. The country is mostly an mountainous region with unique beasts. The country is home to The Village Hidden in the Clouds, one of the more powerful Shinobi Villages. At one time this country went to war with Konoha. It currently has no allies.
Wind Country
The Wind Country is the largest country of The Five Great Shinobi Countries. The country is mostly desert and is home of The Village Hidden in the Sand. Many powerful ninja reside in The Village Hidden in the Sand and at one point went to war with Konoha. It currently has no allies.
Rain Country
The Rain Country is a small nation that is said to get more rain than other country and has a rain forest like terrain. It is home to the Village Hidden in the Rain and does not have many ninja of note. It currently has no allies.
Waterfall Country
The Waterfall Country is a small nation that has mostly forest area with some cliffs and small mountains. Not much is known about the nation. The Village Hidden in the Waterfall is here, but not many active ninjas are around, so this village relies on other ninja to help them. It currently has no allies.
Grass Country
The Grass Country is a small nation that has grasslands, forests, mountain ranges, rivers and even bamboo forests. It is home of the Village Hidden in the Grass. Not much is known about the techniques from the Grass Village. It currently has no allies.
Rice Field Country
The Rice Field Country is a land of ruin. It is marked with forests and rice fields. The government is unstable and many people look to the Sound Village for support in hopes of becoming a powerful nation. The Sound Village has no unique clans of its own, it is a collection of renegade ninja looking for power and prisoners. Many experiments occur in this village that involve the human body and chakra. It currently has no allies.
Snow Country
The Snow Country is a small and peaceful country that experiences winter during all seasons. The Village Hidden in the Snow resides here and does not have many active ninja. It currently has no allies.
